No 4: April.

My March goal was to write 24 thank you cards since I was turning 24. I don't know what it was about March, but I was in a slump. By the end of the month, I had about seven cards written. But since this is my game, I can change the rules. After some sadness about misplacing my stamps, I finally got all 24 cards sent out today.

MARCH GOAL RECAP:
++Obviously this goal was hard for me since I had to extend its deadline.
++I get intimidated by projects and procrastinate starting them because I make it out in my head to be a bigger deal than it actually is.
++Thank you cards are a sensitive subject for me because I never sent out ones for our wedding and I feel horrible about it. I let my depression and anxiety get the best of me on that one. The year surrounding our wedding was ruff for me. I really believe in gratitude, and was genuinely thankful for all of our gifts. I was finally going to do them when we moved to Indiana (a year after our wedding), but in the move, my list was lost. I still feel so bad about it. I haven't really forgiven myself for it, and I don't think other people have either. I've resolved to do thank you cards as often as possible. Live and learn, I guess.

NO CLOTHES BUYING UPDATE:
++I bought a couple of shirts, two pairs of leggings, and a mint moto jacket with my birthday money.
++Still not breaking the rules!

  2. I lost/never had addresses for/forgot to send a lot of thank-you notes from our wedding too. I think (hope!) people kind of expect that. I like to tell myself that ACTING really grateful for our gifts makes up for it.

    I've also been meaning to ask you where you got that mint moto jacket because it is fantastic.

    1. Oh gosh. I'm glad I'm not the only one. To be honest, I wasn't even fully aware that it was expected until people started asking me about it.

      The jacket is from Forever 21! http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?BR=f21&Category=outerwear_faux-leather-jackets&ProductID=2027705049&VariantID=
      The lining has ripped at the seam, but it's Forever 21 so I kind of expected it.

  3. Yeah for finishing goals!!!!!!!! You go bby!

    For the record, I have gone to other weddings/bridal showers/etc... since your reception and have also not received thank you's from some. It doesn't bother me one bit and I know a lot of other people don't hold grudges or anything about it either. I just always figure people are happy experiencing their new life and really, sitting down to write thank you's is such a drag. BREATHE!
