Two car family.

We got another car!

Mostly for Ez and I. I'm not quite sure how Ezra feels about it, but I am stoked.
I haven't had a car of my own for longer than four months since I was 18. I didn't have a car when I was at college. When we had the Pontiac (RIP), Jeff usually had it at work. After Jeff got his company car, I had the Pontiac for four months before it got towed. It was always an adventure driving the Pontiac because it had no air conditioning (and I had it for my own during the summer), one of the windows wouldn't roll down, and one of the other windows wouldn't roll up.
Having Jeff's company car has been really nice because it was a brand new car for free, but I wasn't allowed to drive it. So whenever I wanted to do something, we all had to go. Basically we did all of our errands on Saturdays during the three hour window between Ezra's morning and afternoon nap.

We bought the car in Rochester, MN where my bestie Katherine is from. She's on a mission for our Church in Arcadia, CA right now (Write her! katherine.fleming@myldsmail.net), but we went out to dinner with her parents. Sadly we didn't get to see her chihuahuas Pinkerton and Charlotte, or our friend Opal who's in Minneapolis. But we'll be back up there when Katherine comes home from her mission in late June!

I'm so excited to not have to ask for rides any more! And to be able to go grocery shopping on my own! And take Ezra to the zoo and story time at the library and Dance Baby Dance! And to get Casey's donuts in the mornings!

The world is our oyster.
(I don't even know what that means or if it's actually applicable to this situation.)

  6. Yay for a car! I know a little bit how you might feel. We only have one car now and Jordan uses it to drive to work. I am close enough to school that I can bike, but we just got a scooter this weekend for me. I feel like I can go anywhere now! Well, not anywhere, my scooter is pretty slow :)
