I'm only writing this because everyone else (including the gerbil) is asleep.

We have the Internet at home again.
Which is a gift and a curse. But probably mostly a curse.
Not having the Internet allowed me to think a lot, and while thinking I came to the conclusion that I'm tired of photography and I think most photographers are annoying (explanation for another day). Which makes me wish I had studied almost anything else in college. I will get my masters in art therapy. Just you wait and see.
I want to create, but I don't want to take photographs. I want to be an artist, but not a photographer.
Also I'm pretty sure all my grammar has gone down the crapper. That's what happens when you haven't been taught grammar since 10th grade.

But anyway.
We went to Indiana for a little over a week. And it was great. Katie got engaged. Jeff and I actually hung out with people. Every day was over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. And when we left I begged Jeff to stay and I cried. We're back in Rochester so you know how effective that tactic was.

We recently got library cards.
The cool thing about the Rochester library is that they give you a regular credit card sized card AND one for your key chain.
I've been checking out a lot of graphic novels which I've wanted to get into for a long time, but just recently remembered about that. So far I've read: Psychiatric Tales by Darryl Cunningham which is really good at explaining different mental illnesses; one about an Indian teenage girl from California; Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi which is about growing up in Iran; and Baby's in Black by Arne Bellstorf which is about Astrid Kirchherr, Stuart Sutcliffe, and the Beatles.
I'm also reading the Ender quartet which makes me really excited that the Ender's Game movie is coming out November 2013.
I also checked out Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close even though I already watched the movie and even though the ladies from church said it was awful and vulgar and likened it unto The Catcher in the Rye. But I really like The Catcher in the Rye. So we'll see.

Watching movies like The Artist and Midnight in Paris have made me want to cut my hair.
My greatest internal struggle is about my hair and whether to cut it or grow it long.
Okay not really.
It's really about if I should dye it My Little Pony colors or not.
(Okay, also not my greatest internal struggle.)
But seriously. Should I cut my hair? Should I dye it blue and turquoise and lilac?

The photo of Ezra at the beginning has nothing to do with this post. But I realize that I'm not as entertaining of a blogger as I used to be (2008 Amy, where did you go?), and I realize that no one can resist cute baby pictures.

So here's some more.
Sitting in a vineyard on the way to Indiana. We had to stop in the middle of
nowhere because someone was yelling at the top of his lungs because he was hungry.

Being burped in the aforementioned middle of nowhere.

Being burped in a random parking lot on the way to Indiana.

And then this was today. Just eating fingers and pondering some stuff.

  1. Srsly. Can't resist Ezra's cuteness. Also, I too struggle with the whole my little pony colors thing. Why can't I just color my hair different colors every week and it wouldn't be a big deal and no one would think anything of it? So since it's not really plausible (which totally makes me pretty sad inside btw) I just made a tumblr where I can dream about that kind of hair because you know, sometimes pinterest just isn't enough for me these days.

  2. Those Ender books are so good, especially the second one, Speaker for the Dead. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is pretty awesome, not really that vulgar, and a million times better than the movie.

  3. No one can resist the cuteness that is Ezra Walter Poole, NO ONE! You should totally dye your hair some crazy color (YOLO right?!"). But I am also really bad at telling you no about things so I'm probably the wrong person to give you an answer. But, lilac would just look press on you, btw!

Also, I wish you would have stayed in Fort Wayne. I really need you for all this wedding planning/pre-planning/inspiration binder making stuff...and just for my life in general.
