Easter is my all time favorite holiday.
I was blessed on Easter Sunday and baptized the day before Easter. Sometimes Easter is during my birth month.
Easter celebrates so many things I love; including (but not limited to) bunnies, delicious candy, flowers, the atonement and resurrection of Jesus Christ, new beginnings and hope.
I feel like a bad Easter enthusiast for having not expressed my great love for the holiday closer to its occurrence. Better late than never, right?
I am thankful for new beginnings.
For April showers bringing May flowers.
For the opportunity to start over. (And over and over and over and over)
For being freed from the bonds of death.
For empathy and compassion.
"Each of us will have our own Fridays—
those days when the universe itself seems shattered
and the shards of our world lie littered about us in pieces.
We all will experience those broken times
when it seems we can never be put together again.
We will all have our Fridays.
But I testify to you in the name of the One who conquered death—
Sunday will come.
In the darkness of our sorrow,
Sunday will come.
Sunday will come.
No matter our desperation, no matter our grief,
Sunday will come.
In this life or the next,
Sunday will come."
